Eligibility Criteria


If you meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the RPF Constable Recruitment 2024, your application will be considered.

Educational Qualification


Candidates must have finished at least 10th class (SSLC or its equivalent) from a recognized board or institution.

Age Limit


Individuals who were born between July 1, 2006 and July 2, 1996 are eligible to apply for the posts. The minimum age requirement is 18 years, while the maximum age allowed is 28 years. Certain categories such as SC & ST have a relaxation of 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) have a relaxation of 3 years.

Ex-servicemen with at least six months of continuous service have specific relaxations based on their category. Also, females who are widowed, divorced, or judicially separated from their husbands but not remarried also have age relaxations based on their category.

Application Fee


Candidates who fall under the General and OBC category are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500, out of which Rs. 400 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT exam. Those belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class categories need to pay a fee of Rs. 250, with a refund of the same amount post CBT exam. The fee payment must be done online through internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI.

RPF Constable Salary


The candidates who are chosen for the RRB Railway RPF Constable Recruitment 2024 will receive a competitive monthly salary, as well as job security and additional allowances. The basic monthly salary for constable positions is Rs. 21,700/-. Selected candidates will also be entitled to various perks and benefits.

Selection Process


To become an RPF Constable, candidates must go through three main stages set by the authorities. Initially, they need to pass a computer-based test. Those who pass will move on to a physical measurement test. Finally, successful candidates from the previous stages will undergo document verification with their valid documents.

Those who pass the CBT exam will move on to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). A number of candidates equal to 10 times the total number of vacancies in each category for Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen will be called for the PT exam. Ex-servicemen do not need to take the PET, but they must still undergo the PMT. It is important to note that PET/PMT is just a qualifying test and no marks will be given.

RPF Constable Exam Pattern


The first stage of the exam will take place on a computer and will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions. Test-takers will have 90 minutes to complete the exam. Each correct answer will earn one point, but there will be a deduction of 1/3rd of a point for each incorrect answer.

RPF Constable Physical Measurement Test


To qualify for the RPF Constable Physical Measurements, male candidates in the UR/OBC category must have a height of 165cm, chest measurement of 80cm unexpanded and 85cm expanded. For SC/ST candidates, the height requirement is 160cm with a chest measurement of 76.2cm unexpanded and 81.2cm expanded. Also, candidates from specific categories like Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese must have a height of 163cm with the same chest measurements as UR/OBC males. Female candidates must have a height of 157cm for all categories specified.
