The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has announced 3134 vacancies for Stenographers and other Group C posts. This notification is specifically for candidates who have cleared the Common Eligibility Test and are now eligible to take the main examination. Out of the total 3134 vacancies released for Haryana CET 2024, there are 1296 vacancies available for Group 6 posts and 1075 vacancies for Group 58 posts, which includes positions for Junior and Senior Scale Stenographer.

Educational Qualification


Senior Scale Stenographer: Candidates must have done 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.
100 words per minute for English shorthand and 20 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum of 4% error rate AND
80 words per minute for Hindi shorthand and 15 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum error rate of 4%.

Steno Typist: Candidates must have done 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.
80 words per minute for English shorthand and 15 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum of 8% error rate AND
64 words per minute for Hindi shorthand and 11 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum error rate of 8%.

Junior Scale Stenographer: Candidates must have done 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.
100 words per minute for English shorthand and 20 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum of 8% error rate AND
80 words per minute for Hindi shorthand and 15 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum error rate of 8%.

Senior Scale Stenographer (English): Candidates must have done 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.
100 words per minute for English shorthand and 20 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum of 4% error rate

Steno Typist (English): Candidates must have done 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.
80 words per minute for English shorthand and 15 words per minute for transcription, with a maximum of 8% error rate

Junior Scale Stenographer (English): Candidates must have done 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.

Steno Typist (Hindi): Candidates must have done 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.

Group 6 (Commerce): Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 60% marks from a university recognized by the State Government of Haryana.

Selection Process


The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will receive thousands of applications for Steno and various Group C posts. Candidates who qualify the Haryana Common Eligibility Test will be listed in a merit list.

These shortlisted candidates will then have to appear for a written examination for recruitment in Group C posts, which will be conducted offline.

Following this stage, there will be a skill test to assess candidates based on the requirements of the posts. More information regarding the skill test will be provided at a later date if necessary.

Age Limit


If you want to apply for the Haryana CET 2024 Group C positions, you must be between 18 and 42 years old. Those who do not fall within this age range are not eligible for the available positions. Certain reserved categories may have age relaxation options available.

Candidates who are interested in applying for the HSSC CET exam in 2024 do not have to worry about paying any fees when they fill out the application form. This applies to all candidates, regardless of their category or background. So, all you need to do is provide your information in the registration form without having to make any payment.

Steps to Apply HSSC CET Application Form 2024


You need to visit their official website at https://hssc.gov.in/. Once on the homepage, click on the "Apply Online" tab and locate Advertisement No. 07/24 and 10/24 to view available positions.

Click on the "Login" button and enter your login ID and password that you received during the Common Eligibility Test to access the application portal.

Make sure to enter all the required details accurately. After filling out the form completely, upload the necessary documents and review the information provided.

Once you have verified everything is correct, submit the online application form.

HSSC CET 2024 Exam Pattern


The exam will be conducted offline and will consist of 100 questions worth a total of 97.5 marks. Candidates will have 105 minutes to complete the OMR-based examination, which will be bilingual in English and Hindi. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, and each correct answer will be awarded +0.975 marks. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and plan your preparation accordingly.
