Jonas Harmer was born on July 14, 1997 in USA. After graduating high school, he enrolled in Brigham Young University where he majored in Entrepreneurial Management. In 2023, Skinner and Harmer competed in the inaugural ANW Couples Championship and impressed in the first round. Harmer originally applied solo and was later approached to join with his Olympian partner. The determined pair quickly agreed and began preparing for the competition. He participated in American Ninja Warrior seasons 14, 15, 16 and defines himself as as Sushi blogger and Competitive Rower.

Skinner and Harmer, college sweethearts from Utah, got married in November 2019 shortly after getting engaged. In September 2023, they became parents to a daughter named Charlotte Jane Harmer. The proud parents often post cute family photos and updates on their daughter's Instagram account.

Later, he started to work as Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he worked for 2 years. Later on, he joined Brio Energy as Sales Representative. He is currently 37 years old and is 6 feet 7 inches tall.


In 2018, he co-founded Holiday Decorators of Salt Lake. After that he worked as Sales Manager at Vivint in 2019. In 2023, he took on the role of Head of Business Development at Gigg. Harmer also oversees his wife's channel on Youtube @MyKaylaSkinnerOfficial with over 146k subscribers.

MyKayla Skinner ended her gymnastics career in 2021


After retiring from collegiate gymnastics, Skinner aimed to compete in the Olympics. She successfully achieved her goal by earning a spot as an individual gymnast in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic.

Simone Biles and Jade Carey were initially chosen to advance in the games, but due to Biles withdrawing from the competition, Mykayla Skinner stepped in and excellently filled her spot in the vault final. Skinner's outstanding performance led her to winning the silver Olympic medal. After the Tokyo Olympics, Skinner announced her retirement from professional gymnastics in 2021. She was later featured in Peacock's docuseries Golden: The Journey of USA's Elite Gymnasts that same year.
