Kurt Iswarienko married Shannen Doherty in 2011
Doherty and Iswarienko got married in Malibu, California in October 2011. Before marrying Iswarienko, Doherty was previously married to Ashley Hamilton from 1993 to 1994 and Rick Salomon from 2002 to 2003. Their wedding was featured on their reality series on WE TV, where viewers got to see the couple planning their dream wedding with the help of wedding planner David Tutera.
In 2015, Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she mentioned that this challenging experience actually brought her closer to Iswarienko. However, in April 2023, Doherty filed for divorce from Iswarienko due to "irreconcilable differences" after they had separated in January.
In June 2024, Shannen Doherty accused her husband Kurt Iswarienko of purposely delaying their divorce proceedings by withholding financial documents. Doherty expressed frustration in court filings, claiming that Iswarienko was trying to avoid paying her while she battled a serious illness.
Iswarienko's lawyer countered these allegations by stating that he had attempted to settle the divorce as early as September 2023, but Doherty had rejected the offer. Kurt's attorney stated that he was not waiting for Shannen to die, but rather wanted the best for her and both of them to move on from the case. Unfortunately, less than a month later, Shannen passed away after battling cancer for years.
