Dr. Lisa Gruman, the principal, made an announcement during third hour on Friday that sophomore Ovet Gomez Regalado had passed away. Teachers were then instructed to share a sensitive email with students regarding the news. Just a few days prior, Dr. Gruman had sent out another email to staff about a football player who required emergency medical attention and was currently hospitalized receiving treatment.
